Line up with a pillar and jump across to grab some shells. Climb up to the left paw of the Sphinx. Climb up the chin and walk around the left side of the head. Find the tunnel behind the head. Pick up the shotgun shells and the sapphire key. Jump to the area between the Sphinx's legs. Pull out the block to open the door. Use the sapphire key in the lock.
